About Munemasa Syuzo
The Munemasa family had sake production originally in Hiroshima prefecture in the 19th century. However the brewery was lost in a great fire in 1895 when the operation once ceased to be feasible.
90 years later in 1985, Shinichi Munemasa established the modern brewery in Imari City, Saga. He wanted to bring "happiness" and "authentic sake brewing the handmade way".
Built in 2002, the present brewery is located in Arita City where the ultra-soft spring water from Mt. Kurokami can be obtained for sake brewing. Munemasa strive to develop unconventional sake products in response to the globalization of sake. From enthusiasts to new drinkers their products are highly recommended!
